Stepping Stone Wildlife Shelter

At Stepping Stone Wildlife Shelter we are getting ready for Spring!

Thanks to the generosity of The Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife via their Wildlife Heroes Grants program, we anticipate this is going to be the busiest Spring ever!
The funded project is a purpose-built set of aviaries that will make a major impact on the capacity the Shelter can undertake.
Given the Covid crisis there has been a delay in the installation of the aviaries themselves, but the rest of the project has been completed. There is now an even concreted pathway leading up to the area where the aviaries will be installed, drain grates done, base ready, we are nearly there! Can’t wait to see them up and ready!
Meanwhile, we haven’t stopped caring for our precious wildlife. We have rehabilitated galahs, rainbow lorikeets, musk lorikeets, honeyeaters, tawny frogmouths and possums. However, the stars of the last few months have been our mischievous baby wombats Lola, Willywombles and Kylo. They are certainly demanding lots of attention!!
Thank you to everyone who helps us do what we do and support our commitment to our beautiful wildlife.
