20 Oct PPE Grant Boosts Safety 🐨🌿
The Wildlife Heroes – NSW PPE 2023 grant, managed by the Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife (FNPW) has helped to enhance the safety of our dedicated team at the Port Stephens Koala Hospital.
With the grant:
👉 We’ve provided Q Fever vaccinations to 15 of our front-line rescuers and rehabilitators.
👉 We’ve equipped our rescue vehicles with snake gaiters and bite kits.
👉 Our volunteers have been equipped with protective gloves while working in our koala yards.
We’re immensely thankful for this support which helps to safeguard our dedicated team. With this grant, the Port Stephens Koala Hospital can continue its incredible wildlife conservation efforts with significantly lower safety risks, allowing us to rescue and care for ill, injured, or orphaned koalas and other wildlife in the area.
