06 Aug Our WILD life Family Christmas 2019
Some of our guests arrived several weeks early this year as they could not tolerate the Adelaide heat.
One of the first to arrive was “Lemone” looking ravishing in a striking lemon wrap. Our Melbourne guests also could not tolerate the early summer heat and arrived 2 days before Christmas. You can’t imagine the work load and the sleep deprivation caring for the early arrivals while having to prepare for Christmas. Nine cheeky orphans in total all now at different ages requiring 4 airers to climb and play on. New play toys were hung up on Christmas eve as well as Teddy Bears for each airer. Christmas day finally came and as often happens at family gatherings the youngest preferred to hang out together while some of the older guests tried to “big note” themselves but were quickly put back into their place with a “batty” swipe across the face from a less tolerant guest.
All of the guests were vegetarian and fortunately not dairy or fructose intolerant. They dined on fruit salad, for drinks they sipped smoothie, fruit juice and milk, a centrepiece for each airer was a stunning bouquet of flowering gum.
Fun and flapping, as usual, went well into the early hours of boxing day morning.
A most enjoyable wild Christmas with extraordinary guests.
