18 Jan Native ARC Inc
Native ARC Inc is Western Australia’s only wildlife veterinary hospital and the busiest wildlife rehabilitation facility in the state. Native ARC has more than 200 volunteers that undertake voluntary work at the Hospital and approximately 25 rehabilitators that undertake care of wildlife at their home (under Native ARC’s guidance). Native ARC pays for all costs associated with the care of these animals including housing, food, training and veterinary costs. Native ARC prides itself in covering all costs associated with the care of wildlife so volunteers don’t have to pay for it themselves. Volunteers give enough of their time, they don’t need to give their money! Funding from the Foundation for National Parks and Wildlife enabled Native ARC to continue covering rehabilitation and veterinary costs for volunteers and rehabilitators at a time where fundraising was difficult due to Covid-19.
