Wildlife carer Lindsay Hayes cares for kangaroos at her riverside farm in Narrandera, southern NSW.
Lindsay’s kangaroo family includes tiny orphans, bouncy joeys, released adults and a wild mob that have appreciated her help through the drought.
The roos are fed in two “sittings” to make things fair. The younger ones turn up for their tucker first and the big roos, mainly the wild mob, come later. The mix of hand-raised and wild kangaroos queue up at the gate each evening where they are greeted with wheaten hay and pellets.
