11 Jan Goldfields Joey Carers
Goldfields Native Animal Care (GNAC) Group are made up of a number of passionate carers who work together to rehabilitate injured and orphaned native wildlife from across the Goldfields region (which is a third of WA!!). Milk and macropod feed is always in high demand, and this funding has helped the GNAC in purchasing these necessities which have been distributed to all our joey carers. All of this helps the carer’s wellbeing and minimises out of pocket expenses which in turn results in more animals being cared for and rehabilitated.
The two big joeys eating their macropod muesli in our feature image are Dawn and Campbell who will be released to the soft released pens early in the new year.
The photo below of the joey being fed in the pouch is Sarah. She settled in well and is being cared for by a new carer who is being mentored by the network of experienced GNAC members.
The final photo is a sneaky picture of Blonde, Mr Read and Big Girl, who are currently in the soft release pens and are almost ready to go back to the wild. This is what its all about!!
