Building a rehabilitation sanctuary

Building a rehabilitation sanctuary

Our multi Purpose Enclosure is complete and it is 5 star accommodation for wildlife needing care and rehabilitation.  Little Muffy (pictured here with the builder of the project), is a critically endangered ring tail possum and  was found severely dehydrated on a very hot day.  The enclosure now gives her the perfect space to get well and regain her strength.  With logs and ropes to navigate throughout it replicates what she will encounter when released.   Without this facility she would have to be released much sooner and we would not be able to assess her health over an extended period.

This is a unique enclosure and will be able to be utilized for a large variety of wildlife.  We are so thankful to be recipients of this grant from the Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife and provide such an amazing facility in the Shire of Cranbrook – Gateway to the Stirling Ranges.
